About Us

ABOUT US

Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz Center for Special Education Support Services is one of the education development projects of the Ministry of Education that aims to provide quality and effective support services to students with disabilities who are served under MOE public, special, and inclusion education programs as well as to support the efforts of the ministry in that regard.
The Center was inaugurated in 2014 and has been acknowledged as the first center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the umbrella of MOE that provides such a pioneering model of service. Services are provided free of charge to clients who are eligible according to the approved admission criteria.

International Accreditations

The Center was awarded the golden seal of the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF International) for the first time on November 30th, 2018, and again in 2021 for a period of three years as the first internationally accredited Center in the world that provides a unique model of service that combines rehabilitation services as well as special education in one system.

Office Hours

Working hours of the center are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays (from Sunday to Thursday) throughout the year except for official holidays.

 

Admission Criteria

  • Saudi National or Half Citizen (or from a Saudi mother) aged from birth to 21 years old.
  • Medical report issued by a psychiatrist/psychiatry consultant or a development & behavior consultant if the age of the client is between 9 to 21 years and if an IQ Tests is requested by the family.
  • Non-Saudis are accepted if referred from Ministry of Education schools.
  • To be enrolled in public education system.
  • Presence of a disability(ies) or at risk of developing a disability(ies) and is educable, trainable, and likely to benefit from rehabilitation services.
